Summer it's always a good time to think about a new look and finding the perfect hair salon in Dublin can be tough as there are various hair salons especially into our beautiful Dublin city center.
Personally, I am a medium-long hair girl, with the thinnest hair possible on this planet, and no volume, unless I use some "volume hair products"- think some of you ladies have same or other issues.

After years of blonde hair, (can't believe it myself that I was silver blonde, such a pity I don't have a photo to show you how a 18 years old girl can look like she's 40- ha ha ha), and all kind of extensions from keratin, to sew in hair extensions, i decided to take a break and tried henna, in order to avoid coloring and to help it grow- henna was recommended by a friend for which it really works!

Honestly I don't know which one was worse, as after all these experiences, henna should have never been on my list.

EuroWest Advertising Agency opened the Christmas season with an event 100% for children

Tuesday was a great night during St. Nicholas Event held by EuroWest Advertising Agency (click here for more info) in Dublin!
After many years of absence as a speaker, I was honored to present such an important event for the Romanian Community, bringing Santa in front of all children that were present at the event, lots of smiles, and free gifts from an impressive number of sponsors that supported this night.

I was super excited about this performance, but I think I did well:)


This event was at it's second edition since EuroWest Advertising has been founded, this year focusing on a greater number of children, educational and valuable gifts such as gadgets, mobile phones, and a free raffle with lots of surprises.

I choose to open the night with a curiosity for all the children, asking them how much they know about St. Nicholas and what legends pursued him.

One brave girl knew a little story about Santa, so I encourage them by providing few curiosities about the most wanted guest of the evening.

We had a great and talented family of actors and singers,- Bagrin Family that performed traditional songs and Christmas carols. "Traistuta Group" from Dublin performing Romanian traditional Folk dances and songs, and the Romanian Children's Club in Dublin shared with all of us a traditional Hora.

My heart was completely melted when I started to share together with Santa the sweet presents that we have prepared for each single child present at the event, and when we handed the special prices of the Raffle. I am so grateful to be part of such a great team of generous people, always aiming to encourage this kind of events for the Romanian Community in Ireland.

Plecam din Romania dupa ce terminam Faculta? Sau plecam dupa Liceu?

    Am venit azi de la munca cu o tristete in suflet si nu datorata numai tragediilor din ultimul timp, care imi lasa un gust amar, si ma fac sa ma gandesc tot mai mult la prioritatile mele in viata!

Cred ca mai degraba se trage de la gandurile ce imi misuna creierul de vreo cateva luni de zile, ganduri care ma apropie tot mai mult de Romania, atat spiritual cat si fizic.

Ma gandesc intens la nebunia care m-a impins sa plec din Romania dupa Faculta, necunoscutul spre care ma indreptam si hotararea care zacea in mine si imi spunea ca e cea mai inteleapta decizie! Preotul Necula Constantin de la Mitropolia din Sibiu spunea ca “La terminarea studiilor, tinerii se simt pe marginea unei prapastii daca nu sunt alaturi de cineva, daca nu au un suflet alaturi de ei”! Asa a si fost! Este un moment in care pur si simplu nu stii ce sa faci, si tentantia de a pleca din Romania ramane primordiala! Cel putin asa a fost in cazul meu! Zis si facut!

Dupa vreo 3 ani aproape, de cand am plecat si m-am stabilit in Dublin, trag niste linii pe o foaie A4 si pun acolo cam tot ce inseamna procesul de adaptare europeana a unui tanar absolvent. In primul rand societatea care te "adopta" si vine in ajutorul tau este destul de permisiva, dar cu rigurozitatile ei nationaliste bineinteles, la care mai pui si tu faptul ca esti "Romanian" sau "outsider" scris cu "o" mic dupa cum vedeti. Sunt eleganti si foarte mistocari in discutii (irlandezii), desigur cu cine le permite:)!

In materie de joburi se gasesc cu droaia, insa nu Analist Politic sau Jurnalist de Teren sau Redactie, cum imi doresc eu "par example". Cel putin nu la inceput asa cum toti am vrea!

Si hai sa va spun de ce: first of all se cam sperie cand te duci cu un Cv in care ai 2, 3 facultati, 1 master si alte specializari care pentru ei inseamna ca esti "overqualified" si nu iti pot sustine "hamul" in materie de cunostinte, chiar daca tu vrei un amarat de loc de munca si part time pentru inceput, ca nah...chiria e scumpa aici, (pentru cine nu stie) trebuie sa muncesti ca altfel dormi pe unde apuci!

In cazul in care ai terminat faculta/te si vrei aici sa continui studiile e foarte bine de stiut ca poti aplica pentru burse de stat si alte sponsorizari care inclina putin stafeta de partea ta, mai ales financiar. Adica master sau inca o faculta la ei in tara???? nu suna rau deloc doar ca e un alt inceput de studentie la 23-24 de ani...De asta trebuie sa te gandesti bine, daca mai ai chef de invatat- de data asta in English!

Eu sunt intr-un indelung proces de acest gen si nu ma sperie deloc faptul ca trebuie sa astept finantarea... nu ma scoate nimeni din tara!

In tot acest tip trebuie sa lucrezi sa ai un "job de subsidenta" cum il numesc eu, si sa te bucuri de tot ceea ce iti ofera orasul in care te-ai stabilit! Daca esti super norocosul care are cativa prieteni si un frate sau un apropiat cu care sa imparta toate experientele, atunci timpul departe de casa se poate valorifica si nu il pierzi, ci il castigi si il traiesti mai mult decat oricand!

Viata aici e foarte interesanta, in primul rand pentru ca Dublinul este un oras cosmopolit si mereu vesel! Chiar astazi un client imi marturisea cat este el de fericit ca a ajuns in sfarsit in Dublin si poate gusta din tot ceea ce stramosii lui au creat de demult (American venit din Boston, cu radacini in Irlanda, de ce rang nu cred ca voi intelege vreodata, din moment ce toti americanii cu care stau de vorba si sunt in vizita in Dublin au venit aici sa isi cunoasca rudele ).

Nu o sa intalnesti niciodata pe strada oameni posomorati sau tristi, pierduti in ganduri sau probleme. Totul se rezolva si trece mai bine cu un Pint langa tine! Ce mai...sunt oameni faini, atata timp cat te distrezi cu ei. Mai departe nu te baza prea tare, pentru ca risti sa fii dezamagit! Nu sunt eu genul lipicios-lingusitor-profitor, dar nici inchis, insa greu legi prietenii in adevaratul sens al cuvantului. Si nu doar cu Irish ones ci si cu alti romani culmea! Sincer nu mai stiu in Romania cum sta treaba la capitolul acesta dar eu am si acum prietenii din timpul facultatii, cu oameni care valoreaza mai mult decat tastele mele pot spune, iar atunci cand ma gandesc la ei, inteleg cu adevarat sensul prieteniei!

Dupa ce ai un job cat de cat si un lifestyle degajat ai intrat in lumea lor. Altfel privesti lucrurile si dispar temerile referitoare la imposibilitatea de a face orice!

Tinerilor, credeti-ma orice este posibil si orice putem face, oriunde ne-am afla! Trebuie doar sa facem pasi mici si siguri! Ati fi surprinsi sa stiti cata rabdare dobandesti in urma unei schimbari precum mutatul in alta tara!

Daca ar fi sa am iar 19 ani si sa stiu ca la 24 ajung in alta tara unde voi dori sa incep alte studii nu as mai sta in Romania! Pentru simplu fapt ca este o pierdere de timp ce nu merita traita!

Asa ca de vreo cateva luni discut cu fratiorul meu care este la liceu in Romania si incerc sa ii explic ca trebuie sa stie ce pasiuni are si ce perspective pot avea pasiunile lui in materie de profesionalism si reusita in Romania, pana termina liceul.

Sa stie exact ce ii place iar daca nu stie sa descopere, iar asta nu se face decat invatand si perseverand in fiecare zi! Cred ca cel mai crucial moment al unui adolescent este perioada liceului, atunci cand el incepe sa guste din viata si sa se cunoasca treptat. Vreau sa inteleaga aceste lucruri pentru a lua decizia corecta in ceea ce il priveste!

Asta bineinteles nu inseamna ca nu te poti intoarce in Romania noastra frumoasa si iubita dupa ce experiementezi o astfel de perioada! Ba dincontra, ne intoarcem mult mai experimentati, cu o ampla viziune pe profilul nostru, si cu idei care in mod sigur ajuta societatea romaneasca! Perspectivele cresc simtitor cu o experienta de acest gen si faptul ca te intorci in tara ta sa faci ceea ce iti place este un sentiment incomensurabil!

Asadar, cati dintre voi ati pleca din tara pentru studii, si cati dintre voi ati ramane in Romania pentru studii?
